UNISAME SETS UP FACILITATION CENTRE FOR SMEs

Being aware of the difficulties faced by the small entrepreneurs and on the advise of the International Council of SMES (ICSMEs) the Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) has set up a facilitation centre and informed the entrepreneurs especially the new comers to contact the union for guidance and help to obtain finance, goods, information and logistic support to enter or promote their businesses on proper lines.

President UNISAME Zulfikar Thaver said we wish to inform all our SME exporters who have orders in hand but do not have adequate finance to contact us for financial arrangements under different schemes from the commercial banks by applying correctly and methodically.

Secondly he said those SMEs who wish to export but do not know how to export, they can also contact us for guidance of export procedures and documentation.

Thirdly those SMEs who have enquiries in hand but have no source of supplies can also contact us for supplies. UNISAME has a list of
suppliers and manufacturers and can guide the prospective buyers.

Fourthly those SMEs who are seeking warehouse facilities may also contact us for warehousing facilities.

Fifthly the union has also made arrangements for logistic support for the entrepreneurs to enable them move their goods to global destinations smoothly under expert logistic help

The union desires that the SMEs need to come forward and pursue their businesses vigorously and not be discouraged due to lack of finance or information.

He said keeping in mind the requirements of the sector the union has set up a facilitation centre with the institutional support of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) and welcomes SMEs and especially the new comers who need support and guidance being not fully aware of the rules, regulations and procedures.

Additionally UNISAME and SMEDA both offer free legal aid to SMEs and the entrepreneurs are welcome to obtain their services regarding formation, registration, trade marks and legal advice on contracts and mercantile law.
