UNISAME FELICITATES NEW GOVERNOR SBP

The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) felicitated Jameel Ahmed on his appointment as governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for a period of five years and expressed great happiness on his selection. The Union Council is happy that an experienced Pakistani banker cum economist has been selected who knows the Pakistani economy in and out and will resolve matters with a Pakistani flavour rather than apply techniques which are not meant for a big undisclosed economy which has undeclared funds which need to be streamlined skillfully.
President UNISAME Zulfikar Thaver said Jameel Ahmed is well versed and much experienced. Thaver said in few meetings chaired by Jameel Ahmed he found him to be a good listener and observed that he has a strong passion for the MSME sector.
He said he is confident that the new governor will do a lot for financial inclusion of all segments as outlined in the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) by SBP, World Bank and Ministry of Finance.
