UNISAME EXPORT HOUSE TO PROMOTE EXPORT OF SMEs

The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) has made arrangements to export the products of SMEs manufacturing value added commodities, textiles and made ups, light engineering goods, leather goods to gulf and middle east countries.

President UNISAME Zulfikar Thaver informed the SME units who are manufacturing value added goods of international standards and maintaining bench mark to contact the union for export of their goods and obtain the services of the export house managed by the union.

He said we have full arrangements for warehousing, financing under different schemes, logistics and documentation to support the sector.

He said there is opportunity for the sector to export value added farm produce items, garments, household linen and footwear and as long as the goods are of international standard in attractive packing and at competitive prices there is good demand and the export house is in a position to find buyers for their wares.

Thaver urged the SME units to offer third party pre-shipment inspection of the goods to the buyers to satisfy them fully and remove any doubts about agreed quality.

Secondly he advised the SMEs to develope their websites and also avail the services of business portals for exhibiting their goods on the internet.
