PRESIDENT MAMNOON HUSSAIN URGED TO PLAY IMPARTIAL ROLE PROMPTLY

The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) has urged Mamnoon Hussain the elected president of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to play an impartial role in the political deadlock and take impartial decision in the best interest of all Pakistanis irrespective of his past party affiliation as now he is president of Pakistan and is under oath to safe guard and protect the interest of each and every citizen of Pakistan without caste or creed. The alarming situation demands his immediate intervention and the country expects him to act impartially and judiciously without fear or favour.

Zulfikar Thaver president UNISAME said in this situation of a political deadlock it is incumbent upon him to summon all the disputing parties and decide impartially the line of action which would be binding on all the parties.

Thaver said the president enjoys the head of state position and is elected for the high office not to remain a spectator but being head of the federation and the armed forces has an important role to protect democracy and the state institutions and is above the judiciary, executive and the government being elected by the legislators of all the provinces, the national assembly and the senate and is empowered to appoint all governors and other key position officers. All ordinances and acts are finally signed by him.Every citizen of Pakistan is guaranteed protection by the president of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Every passport holder travels under the guarantee of the president who declares on the passport itself that the holder be given the protection as a citizen of Pakistan.

He said surely all this is not merely for namesake but is meaningful in letter and spirit and as president of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan the president would be failing in his duty as president if he does not act immediately and stop bloodshed and defuse the situation judiciously.
