The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) appreciated the aim of making ” Made in Pakistan ” in Vision 2025 a symbol of quality and invited the attention of Prof Ahsan Iqbal federal planning minister to the undisputed role of SME sector in value addition and its being a back forte to the large sector.

President UNISAME Zulfikar Thaver urged the minister to convene a joint session for integrating efforts of SMEDA, TDAP, NPO, PCSIR and PSQCA to promote up gradation of SME products in food, textiles and light engineering to meet global challenges and image building of Pakistani goods to be proud of ” Made in Pakistan” label. Integration of efforts is badly needed as it is lacking and the planning ministry could play an important role in combining efforts of the stakeholders.
