KARACHI: The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises
(UNISAME) has expressed profound appreciation to
Farukh Amil, Chairperson of the Intellectual Property
Organization of Pakistan (IPO), for his tireless efforts in ensuring Pakistan benefits from the landmark World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) treaty on intellectual property,genetic resources, and associated traditional knowledge, says a Press release.
UNISAME President, Zulfikar Thaver, stated, “This
treaty holds immense significance for Pakistan, with far reaching implications. It is crucial we enact corresponding domestic laws to harness its benefits.” He commended Amil’s proactive approach in soliciting views and comments from stakeholders on the treaty’s final text.

Pakistan’s rightful ownership of its natural resources amidst economic competition.
