UNISAME CONGRATULATES SMEDA CEO & HIS TEAM FOR SME CLUB APPROVAL
LAHORE – A project has been approved to set up an SME club at a cost of Rs 100 million for the promotion of industrial sector and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Over 10,000 SMEs will benefit from the club, said head of E-Business Directorate SMEDA, Salman Khalid, talking to APP here on Sunday.
He said the project would help SMEs to get information and share knowledge about business ventures inside the country and in international markets.
The club will also enable them to get research based reports on different topics of their interest, he added. In this regard,, Salman Khalid said, mobile short messaging service (SMS) alerts would also be available to SMEs.
Facilities and discounts on software development,
courier services and other value added services will also be arranged for business entrepreneurs through the SMEs club, he said.
The club will be formed by the end of January, he said. He said that SMEDA was working to enable SMEs to face global challenges by adopting most modern techniques. The club will also make arrangements for international fairs and exhibitions, he added.
