The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) have organized an Expo/Seminar on SME Financing on 19th December 2016 at Marriot Hotel Karachi.
Many commercial banks/DFIs, SME facilitators and few SME exporters/processors will have their stalls to acquaint the visiting entrepreneurs about their activities and what they are offering to the SMEs.
Zulfikar Thaver president Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) and chairman Capacity Building Working Group (CBWG) appreciated the efforts of the SBP and SMEDA for their efforts and particularly this expo cum seminar to highlight the several facilities and financial schemes available for SMES.
Thaver said the SMEs need finance for working capital, balancing, replacement and modernization, project financing, imports and exports, for installation of alternate energy devices and above all to expand and grow. Finance is also available for new comers and entrepreneurs and the visitors can get all the information from the SBP, commercial banks, SMEDA and UNISAME stalls.
Thaver said the Expo/Seminar aims at providing information and knowledge to the SMEs about the different types of finance available to the SMEs and enhance their access to finance under the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) to give access to finance to all segments of the society.
